I Don't Know Jack

Jack Nance, whose image, especially his hair, became world famous when he starred in David Lynch's first feature film, Eraserhead. Jack lived a life that baffled his friends, relatives and even himself. I DON'T KNOW JACK is a fascinating documentary on the life, career and unsolved homicide of a great character actor. Though noted for playing unique roles in many of David Lynch's films such as Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Dune, Twin Peaks and more, he also had important roles in Colors, Johnny Dangerously, Barfly, The Blob and many more. Nance was a trained stage actor who helped found the revolutionary San Francisco theatre company, Circus. He was married twice – once to Catherine Coulson, the Log Lady from Twin Peaks, and later to Kelly Van Dyke, daughter of TV star Jerry Van Dyke. Her tragic death plays a pivotal role in the film and in Jack's life. A life sadly cut short by alcohol, a curmudgeonly nature and an altercation outside a donut shop near his home.
